Feburary 2nd and 3rd.Well after three weeks or working and rain, I wasn't going to let a predicted rain/snow storm stop me from heading out. Besides it gave me an excuse to break in my new Jeep.
Saturday Feburary 2nd
Reading reports of Amtrak 6 being stuck in Gold Run got me thinking it was time to head up the hill, but first a run around the yard to see if there where any trains lined up to head up that we could follow.
The long line of stored units is slowly making its way to the shop for a looking over. Most of the units where retired in the last weeks of Jan and the lease units where getting preped to be returned to CEFX.
We did get into some snow around Wiemer Crossing and it was really snowing up around Alta and Gold Run. This allowed us to get some shots but after spending a hour 100' from the Alta off ramp. I had had enough of California drivers in the snow.
